Open Day!
On Wednesday we welcomed so many families to our school for our first Open day for 2026.
One of the true highlights was the outstanding leadership shown by our Year 6 students, who stepped into their role as tour guides for the very first time.
They led families with confidence, pride, and genuine enthusiasm, sharing their love of our school and showcasing what makes Holy Family such a special place to learn and grow. Their warmth, maturity, and passion shone through in every tour, and the feedback from our visitors has been overwhelmingly positive.
A huge thank you to our Year 6 leaders for representing Holy Family so beautifully. You did a remarkable job, and we are incredibly proud of you!
Quote from our leaders ...
Being part of Holy Family’s Open Day as Year 6 tour guides was an experience we’ll never forget. It was our first time welcoming visitors and showing them around our school, and we felt both excited and a little nervous. But once we started, something amazing happened—we realised just how much we love our school and how proud we are to be its leaders.
As we walked families through the classrooms, the playground, the library, and all the special places that make Holy Family feel like home, we felt a real sense of responsibility. We wanted to share not just what we learn, but what our school means to us. Every smile, every question, and every “thank you” from the visitors made us stand a little taller.
By the end of the morning, we were so proud of what we had achieved. We worked together, supported each other, and represented Holy Family with confidence, kindness, and enthusiasm. It felt great to know we made a positive impression on our guests and helped them see our school the way we do.
A big thank you to our teachers for trusting us with such an important role. Being tour guides showed us how much we’ve grown, and made us even prouder to be Year 6 leaders.

Word Of The Week! - Role Model
Meaning: A role model is someone who is looked up to by others as an example. A role model constantly demonstrates leadership and other qualities such as kindness, generosity and resilience. Role models set an example for others, making good choices and contributing positively to the world. However, role models are not perfect, but they show what it looks to grow, improve and learn. Here are some suggestions on how you can be a role model!
- Lead by example
- Support others by cheering them on and showing genuine care
- Prioritise self-care and growth
Have a wonderful weekend,
