Reconciliation

This weekend, we have students from our school who will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.  They have been learning about the seven Sacraments of the Church, with a particular focus on the Sacraments of Healing. They have reflected on Jesus’ ministry of healing when he acted with love and compassion. Students have explored the Sacraments of Penance and Anointing of the Sick and how these bring strength, peace and courage in times when we need healing. At these times, we open ourselves to receive God’s grace and recognise the Holy Spirit working in our lives.

Please keep these students in your prayers:

The "Domestic Church"

Brigid Faure (parent in Year 2) sent me this email about the "Lent in a Bag" sent to all families last week.  I thought I would share it to encourage other parents in your beautiful role as the first faith educators of your children. How is your family using the bag?

"We have placed our Project Compassion box in pride of place at home, and it has already sparked some lovely conversations. Giselle has been especially keen to find extra chores around the house so she can earn money to put into the box!

The acts kindness challenge is on our fridge, and Giselle is enjoying colouring in the boxes. It’s been a beautiful daily reminder of the small acts of kindness we can do for others. We’ve also enjoyed spending time together making meals and reflecting on how sharing what we have can truly make a difference."

If anyone else has a lovely story to share like the one above, please feel free to email me!
