Mr Irwin's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter.
I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays break. We certainly noticed how well students settled into the term after having a two-week rest.
Student Led Conferences
Part of the work students have commenced since returning to school has been preparing for Student Led Conferences which are next Monday. A reminder that bookings for SLC’s are available via Sentral and that students only attend school on Monday for their allotted conference time. If parents wish to discuss aspects of their child’s semester report, teachers will happily accommodate this via appointment so that student conferences can focus on students showcasing their selected learning tasks.
School Review time!
Every four years schools complete a School Review. A School Review provides the opportunity to ensure a school is meeting it's legislative and compliance requirements, as well as undertake a review of school performance to inform the directions of the school’s next 4-year plan.
As the families who have 'lived and breathed' some or all of the last review cycle (the last review at Teesdale was conducted in 2022) your input into what 'highlights' have occurred over the past four years as well as providing input into future direction of the school matter!
In moving through our School Review Process in Term 3, the following feedback will benefit us articulating the highlights of the previous four years in the eyes of our community and also provide consideration for future direction.
The School Review process is an in-depth and big picture look at the operations of our school. It is not intended as a complaints process of focusing on small/individual issues that may be of concern. If reading through this information has prompted an issue that you would like to raise that isn't appropriate for the review, please get in touch with me separately to discuss these matters.
To assist with our school review, we would invite as many families as possible to provide some feedback on what they identify as the school’s strengths, and opportunities we can strengthen in the coming years.

Bye for now, Sam
