SNOW TRIP 2026
Mr. Brad Vallance (Assistant Principal)
What an incredible week our Year 10 students have had at Mount Buller! The mountain delivered outstanding conditions right from the start, with over 30cm of fresh powder snow blanketing the slopes and setting the scene for a truly memorable camp.
Every student arrived as an absolute beginner, having never clipped into skis or a snowboard before, and left the week with real experience and newfound confidence on the mountain. The progress across the group was fantastic to see, with students building their skills session by session and tackling challenges they never thought possible on day one.
Beyond the structured lessons, students made the most of the beautiful snowy surroundings, throwing themselves into building snowmen, making snow angels and taking part in plenty of good-natured, playful snowball fights. These moments of pure fun added a wonderful balance to the more focused time spent learning to ski and board.
The week's highlight also included an unforgettable night skiing session, where students experienced the mountain in a whole new light and a relaxing trip to the movies that gave everyone a welcome chance to unwind together. Perhaps most rewarding of all has been watching strong friendships form and grow throughout the week, as students supported and encouraged one another both on and off the slopes.
Tired, proud, and full of unforgettable memories, our Year 10 students have had a truly outstanding week at Mount Buller.
