2027 Music Tuition Enrolments

A friendly reminder that existing enrolments for Music and Speech & Drama lessons will automatically roll over for 2027, unless written notification is received to cease lessons at the end of the year. The deadline for submitting this notification is Friday 6 November. If you would like to commence music lessons in 2027, the enrolment form is now available via the Commencement tab in KCEE.

VCE Music Recital

The Year 12 VCE Music recital, presented in the final week of Term 3, showcased an impressive array of talent and dedication, as students each performed 20 minutes of carefully curated repertoire. The program highlighted a rich diversity of musical styles and instrumental techniques, with performances on voice, saxophone, violin, and piano. Each student included at least one group piece, demonstrating not only their solo capabilities but also their ability to collaborate musically. The recital reflected the impact of recent masterclasses, where students had received expert guidance from professional musicians, refining their interpretations and technical execution. With only a few weeks remaining until their final performance exams, the recital served as a strong indicator of their hard work and artistic growth throughout the year. Congratulations to all Unit 4 music students and special thanks to all accompanists and instrumental teachers.

Student Achievement 

Congratulations to Henry and Thomas Amado, who were recently awarded Platinum Awards and named as Laureates in the Mozart International Music Competition. Thomas also achieved a Platinum Award in the Brahms International Music Competition. Congratulations to both boys on this fantastic recognition.

Auditions for YMS 2027 are now open! The Young Mannheim Symphonists program is Australia's national youth orchestra for HIP (historically informed performance) and 2027 is going to be huge.
