INVITATION - It Takes a Village: Raising Children in a Digital WorldWednesday 10th September 2025 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm | Moama Bowling Club

We know that schools are at the frontline of supporting student wellbeing, and that digital technology is now one of the biggest influences on our children’s mental health, learning and safety.

The purpose of this event is to hear from several experts about digital wellbeing, youth mental health and the growing impact of social media and smartphone use on children and teens. We are hoping to bring together parents and caregivers, principals and teachers, coaches, and the broader community so we can collectively build our knowledge around these issues and then use that knowledge to support our young people so they can thrive.

The finer details of the event, including information about our speakers, can be found on the event poster attached to this email.We would also like to note that this event is being held exactly two months before the implementation of the Federal Government’s Social Media Minimum Age Bill on the 10th December. The details around this bill are still very unclear, but we do know that this will have a profound impact on many children and teens. Part of our event will be dedicated to speaking about this bill, what it will mean for our kids, and what we as adults can do to help prepare them.Your presence at this event would be warmly welcomed by us and our community. Abilities Unleashed – Kids is coming to Echuca this October - a free, fun, and inclusive sports event designed to connect children with disabilities to local sports clubs and activities.
