YEAR 11
Leading The Way

Head of Year 11
The process for selecting our 2027 Year 12 Student Leaders will begin next week, with leadership application information being shared with all Year 11 students. This is an exciting opportunity for students to reflect on how they may wish to contribute to the College community in a formal leadership role next year.
As part of our Year 11 theme, Leading the Way, students are encouraged to consider the qualities of service, responsibility, and positive influence that effective leadership requires.
Information sessions and application materials will be provided to students, allowing them to begin preparing their applications and reflecting on the ways they can lead within our College community.
Expressions of interest for this year's Relay For Life Team were released last week, and it was great to see a strong number of Year 11 students express their interest in being involved.
Once participant numbers have been finalised, students and families will receive further information regarding parent permission requirements and the process for officially registering as part of the St Mary's Relay For Life Team.
I look forward to seeing our students get behind this important event and support the Cancer Council through both their participation and fundraising efforts in the months ahead.
Pastoral Group is an important part of the school day, providing students with key information, wellbeing support, and opportunities to connect with their Pastoral Mentor and peers.
Students are reminded that the warning bell sounds at 8:25am, with Pastoral Group commencing promptly at 8:30am.
If a student is running late or absent, families are asked to notify the College through the MyCE app, or by calling the College Office 07 4044 4200, or by email smw.office@cns.qld.edu.au, so that the absence can be appropriately explained and recorded.
