PSA Athletics Carnival

Well done to all the students who represented Trinity at last week’s PSA Athletics Carnival. After finishing in 4th place the previous year, hopes were high that we could continue our improvement this year and begin to compete with the powerhouse athletic schools. With Trinity sitting in 3rd place most of the day, and even briefly touching 2nd place, Trinity began to believe that this could be the day. However, some very strong relay teams from Christ Church meant that Trinity finished in 4th position once again.

In the end, the 4th place finish was a pleasing result and hopefully is the beginning of some very strong years of Athletics at Trinity. Well done to Scotch College for winning the Alock Shield for an amazing sixth straight year.

Week 10 Summer Sport Training

With the summer season just around the corner, training for the summer sports will begin next week in a modified schedule as we head into the holidays. These sessions are to allow the coaches to have time to trial students and begin the selection process before our Week 1 fixture against Hale. Training in Week 10 will be as follows:

  • Year 7's - Wednesday period 1
  • Year 8 and 9's - Monday and Wednesday (either before or after school)*
  • Year 10 and 11's - Tuesday (either before or after school)

*Year 8 and 9 students have a training session this Friday during their normal sport time. All details can be found on the Sports Fixture page on Seqta.

The detailed schedule has been placed on the Sports Training page on Seqta for both parents and students to view. A reminder that training is compulsory for all students. Students are required to attend the sport that they signed up for in the middle of Term 3. The full list can be found on the Sports Results page on Seqta. This information has also been sent to all students.

TC Basketball

As we commence a new era of basketball at TC under the guidance of 1st V coach Carlin Hughes, we would like to get a group of Basketball parents together to begin a 'Friends of Basketball' group. We need help with fundraising and organising events like a Season opener and End of Season wind up.

If you are interested in building a strong Basketball program and joining the 'Friends of Basketball' please email me directly on marocchi.amanda@trinity.wa.edu.au
