Senior School Production – Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Congratulations to all the students who were involved in our 2025 Senior School Production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from May 22 to 24. 

Whether you were performing on stage, in the orchestra, part of the crew, or simply a supportive audience member, thank you for your efforts and support of this wonderful event. 

As this was my last school production, it was a very special experience for me! It was awesome to see everyone get super enthusiastic and excited about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was particularly great to see so many younger students involved in this fabulous experience at Kilvington! – Elijah Slavinskis, Year 12 (Willy Wonka)

Winter Concert

Our upcoming Winter Concert will give many of our entry-level ensemble groups an opportunity to perform to a supportive audience.

Intermezzo Suzuki Strings, Klefs Choir, Years 1 and 2 Choir, Junior Strings, Kadenza Intermediate Concert Band, Junior Guitar Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, Cello Ensemble and soloists will be performing. 

Date: Thursday, 12 June 2025 

Time: 6.00pm – 7.30pm 

Venue: Dalton Hall 

Booking of seats is not required. We look forward to seeing you there! 

Years 2 and 3 String Program Concert - 17 June

The Year 2 and 3 String Program on Tuesday 17 June will give our students an opportunity to perform in front of their parents, friends and teachers. 

The Years 2 and 3s have learnt many new skills, and we look forward to hearing them perform as a class. The performance will start at 11.30am and finish at 12noon in Dalton Hall. 

Year 5 Band Concert - 19 June

Parents, friends and teachers are invited to attend the Semester 1 Year 5 Band Concert on Thursday 19 June, where you can hear the progress that the students (and Mr Collins) have been making on their new instruments this year. The performance will start at 11.30am and finish at 12noon in Dalton Hall. 

Keyboard Collaboration Piano Recital –  19 June

We're delighted to invite all piano enthusiasts to the Keyboard Collaboration Piano Recital, showcasing the talent of our piano students. 

Students have been diligently rehearsing their pieces and will be presenting a unique and exciting repertoire. The recital will commence promptly at 5.30pm in Dalton Hall. We hope to see you there! 

AMEB results

Congratulations to Hongxuan Lian, Cello (Year 4), William Walsh, Trumpet (Year 5) and Thomas Ye, French Horn (Year 7) on their recent AMEB results. Well done! 

Music achievement - Michelle Li

Congratulations to Michelle Li from our ELC for performing her first violin solo in front of her class! You've made great progress! 

Melbourne Conservatorium of Music – Jazz and Improvisation Winter Camp

The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music is holding a Jazz and Improvisation Winter Day Camp from 7 to 11 July. 

Instrumentalists and vocalists in Years 9 to 12 are invited to spend an intensive week to develop their playing and creativity when approaching jazz music. Further details can be found here: Experience Jazz and Improvisation at the Conservatoirum.
