Senior Boys State Netball Final

Following excellent wins at both the Black Ranges Netball event and Greater Western Region Netball, our senior boys qualified for the State Netball Finals at Waverley Netball Centre held on Monday 31 August. 

The boys competed against Sacred Heart College (Kyneton), Berwick College and Castlemaine College. The boys were very competitive in all games but unfortunately weren't able to get that elusive win. 

It was a great experience for them to play against some very talented players and teams. They played with great teamwork and sportsmanship. We were very proud of how they conducted themselves and the effort they put in. To play in State Finals is a very big achievement and we congratulate them on a fantastic achievement.

Black Ranges Basketball

This week our Year 7 and 8 students competed in the Black Ranges Basketball Competition. The Year 7 boys played 6 games for the day and played some great basketball, improving with every game. The more games they played the better the teamwork and communication was. They had wins against, Edenhope College, Murtoa College, Wimmera Lutheran College and Marian College, with their only loss for the day against Horsham College. 

Year 8 boys competed in Ararat, playing 4 games for the day. They had good wins against Warracknabeal College, Marian College and Wimmera Lutheran College. The boys had a fantastic match against Horsham College but unfortunately lost that game by 1 point. They finished the day in second position. The boys displayed great teamwork, defensive pressure and worked really hard for each other all day. 

The Year 8 girls played against Horsham College 1 and 2, Wimmera Lutheran College and Marian College. The girls had 2 wins and 2 losses for the day. It was great to see the girls really enjoying themselves whilst they were playing. The improvement in teamwork and confidence from their first game to their last game was impressive. 

All teams represented the College with great sportsmanship. They all really enjoyed themselves and loved competing against other schools.
