SchoolTV have published a special report focusing on the new social media regulations.
These new regulations provide an opportunity to talk openly with your child about their online experiences and what these changes mean for them. It's also a chance to review family technology habits, reinforce healthy routines, and explore age-appropriate ways for young people to connect, learn and express themselves.

Child Safe Information
St Brigid’s College holds the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility. Central to the mission of our Catholic schools in Horsham – St Brigid’s College and Ss Michael & John’s Primary School - is an absolute commitment to fostering the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of children and young people and providing them with a safe, supportive and enriching environment to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our school Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy reflects our community shared commitment and expectations in relation to child safety. Our school’s approach to student safety and wellbeing is guided by principles and values that promote the development and regular review of strategies, practices, policies, and procedures to uphold the commitment to protect students from all forms of harm.
Our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy outlines our commitment to our staff to:
· provide the necessary support to enable them to fulfil their roles, and to ensure that staff are attuned to recognise signs of harm and can facilitate child-friendly ways for children and young people to express their views, participate in decision-making and raise their concerns
· provide regular opportunities to clarify and confirm policy and procedures in relation to child safety and young people’s protection and wellbeing; this includes annual training in the Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and Safeguarding Code of Conduct as well as training in mandatory reporting obligations and staff responsibilities to report concerns
· listen to concerns voiced by employees, volunteers, and visitors about keeping children and young people safe from harm and provide support to receive formal debriefing and appropriate assistance in relation to incidents of the abuse of a child or young person

All of our policies and procedures are available to our school community in hard copy by request from the School Office.
