Principal's Report

Dear families,
It's been another very busy fortnight for our College community.
Thank you to all the dads and special people who joined us for our Father's Day Breakfast this morning. It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from our school community. Events like these require significant planning and preparation, and we are grateful to the staff who helped make this event possible.
Congratulations to our Science and Engineering team, who attended the Science and Engineering Challenge State Finals in Geelong today. What an amazing achievement! We faced tough competition, with eight schools from across the state participating. Although we did not secure an invitation to the National Finals later this year, we are incredibly proud of the efforts, attitude and teamwork demonstrated by our students. Great job, team!
It's been a big week in sport for our College, with one highlight being the Senior Boys Netball team competing in the State Finals in Melbourne on Monday. Our junior basketball teams also participated in the Black Ranges competitions earlier this week. We are proud of the team spirit and sportsmanship they showed throughout their events.
Our Year 10 students travelled to Charlton for driver education on Monday or Tuesday this week. They had the opportunity to drive either a manual or automatic vehicle and participate in driver safety sessions. It was wonderful to hear their enthusiastic reflections on this valuable learning experience.
Last week, our Year 8 students enjoyed camp in Roses Gap, taking part in activities including abseiling, the giant swing, kayaking and the vertical playpen. These experiences challenged students to step outside their comfort zone, overcome fears and support one another, while strengthening friendships and building confidence.
Thank you to our staff and families for their ongoing support in making these opportunities possible for our students.
