Tournament of Minds 2026
Our Tournament of Minds teams have spent the past six weeks working collaboratively to solve complex, open-ended challenges that require creativity, critical thinking, innovation and teamwork. Students researched, designed and developed original presentations to showcase their solutions at the Regional Tournament.
Language Literature Team The Language Literature team explored the art of storytelling through an audio-based challenge. Students investigated how language techniques, literary devices and sound can be used to engage an audience and communicate meaning. Their solution combined creative writing, performance and imaginative storytelling to bring their ideas to life.
STEM Team Our STEM team took on a science fiction-inspired challenge that required them to combine scientific thinking, engineering, technology and creativity. Students designed and built a miniature world, incorporating movement and visual effects, while developing an innovative solution presented through both performance and multimedia elements.
Social Sciences Team The Social Sciences team investigated the ethical, environmental and economic considerations involved in producing and promoting a T-shirt fundraiser. Students explored how decisions can impact people, communities and the environment and used their research to develop a well-reasoned solution presented through a creative dramatic performance.
We are incredibly proud of all of our Tournament of Minds participants. Their dedication, perseverance, creativity and collaboration were evident throughout the competition process and in their outstanding performances on Tournament Day. Students represented our school with enthusiasm and professionalism, demonstrating the important skills of teamwork, problem-solving and resilience.
The Language Literature team was recognised for their exceptional work, receiving a Merit Award for their innovative and engaging solution.
