Standing Together: Our School Celebrates Bullying. No Way! Week

This week, our school community took part in Bullying. No Way! Week, a national event dedicated to promoting safe and supportive learning environments for every student.

Classes marked the week during their wellbeing sessions, with activities designed to spark conversation, build empathy, and reinforce our school's commitment to kindness and respect.

What We Got Up To

Classroom Wellbeing Sessions During wellbeing sessions this week, classes took part in discussions, role-plays, and creative projects exploring themes of friendship, inclusion, and respect. Younger students created posters with kindness messages, while older students explored the impact of bullying — including cyberbullying — and how to support a friend who may be struggling.

Why It Matters

Bullying. No Way! Week is a reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and included — not just this week, but every day. Our school remains committed to fostering a culture where kindness is the norm and every student feels they belong.

How You Can Help at Home

  • Talk with your child about what it means to be a good friend and an upstander.
  • Encourage open conversations about their day, both online and offline.
  • Remind them that reporting unkind behaviour is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you have any concerns about bullying, please don't hesitate to contact your child's classroom teacher or the school office.
