Compass Due Dates

We have had feedback regarding assessment tasks and a desire to support students in their learning. This is excellent and we have taken this to heart and considered our systems and how we can improve this.

The Year Level Bulletins will contain information on upcoming assessment tasks, and this will continue, but we are also utilising Compass to ensure due dates are visible to parents on all assessment tasks going forward to support families with being more involved in their child's learning. 

Parents and students will be able to view due dates for their learning tasks on Compass and also whether they have been submitted, as below.

We will also be trialing the function enabling SMS messages to be sent when a task is overdue. We believe this will help enhance communication and support collaboration between families and staff when supporting a student to get back on track when an assessment is missed.

We hope both of these changes helps to better improve student outcomes, communication and connection with school. We are open to feedback on this and welcome engagement as this rolls out.
