School Captains' Report

The past few weeks at CGPS have been very busy! Grade 4s went on camp to Kangaroobie, and enjoyed fun farm activities, and when they got back, they were on TV! We hope you had fun times, Grade 4s!

Breakfast Club was also a huge success for the grade 1s and 2s over the past two weeks. Thank you to all the volunteers, fundraisers and students who came. We had a great time, and hope to see you again! This week, it’s the Grade 3s turn to have their breakfast, and if you’re in Grade 5 or 6, consider volunteering for the younger grades. 

This week is National Refugee Week. This is a time to acknowledge the terrible things some people in our community have been through, and to remind ourselves that we are all equal and have the same rights as the next person. You can visit the UNHCR website for more information. 

Last Friday 3B reached their next reward — 30 minutes of free iPad time! Mia.C said that she thought it was: ‘[It was] really fun and everyone enjoyed the reward. We are looking forward to the next reward!’. Jack, who is also in 3B told us that ‘I got to play with my friends and we got to make funny things. It made us laugh and we are excited to earn more stamps to reach our next prize!’

This is just a reminder that there are lots of viruses and illnesses going around our school community. Make sure that you don’t come to school if you are unwell. We don’t want to get each other sick. Remember to always wash your hands, and stay safe!
