World’s Greatest Shave Success
A round of applause is in order for the Year 12 SRC and all Year 12 students for their outstanding efforts in organizing the World's Greatest Shave event. We are thrilled to announce that this event was not only a tremendous success but also a record-breaking fundraiser, with over $43,000 raised! It's heart-warming to see our students come together for such a meaningful cause. In case you missed it there is a great story of the event which appeared on NBN News and shared on our Facebook Page.
Formal Hats
At Calrossy one of the ways that we demonstrate respect is through wearing our uniform with pride. It has been fantastic to witness the sea of formal hats adorning our campus lately. All students are expected to wear their formal hats to and from school and during break times (unless under fixed shade). In addition, students in grades 7-9 are required to wear their hats between classes when outside.
Mel Harries Psychologist Evening Recap
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Mel Harries, a distinguished psychologist, for an insightful evening focused on mental health training. It was fantastic to see many parents in attendance, engaging in valuable discussions and gaining valuable insights into supporting mental wellbeing. For those who missed the session or wish to revisit it, recordings are available on the hub for your convenience.
Yr 7 Expedition to Tea Gardens
Our Yr 7 students had a great time on their first secondary expedition at the Tea Gardens where they were pushed out of their comfort zone and able to test their resilience. This was achieved with a range of outdoor activities designed to build friendships and encourage teamwork. Some of these activities included canoeing, raft building, zip lining and taking on the giant swing. There is a photo gallery now up on The HUB.
