A reminder that the Years 10-12 Parent Teacher Interviews (face-to-face) will commence at 4pm on Tuesday March 5th.
Parents of students in these year groups were emailed about bookings opening last week, and bookings will close at noon on Tuesday. If you have missed out on securing an interview slot with a teacher that you wish to speak to, please send an email directly to the teacher with your query or to organise an alternative time to speak.

On these days, secondary students should note the following important information:
- Ensure your MacBook is brought to school fully charged and operational each testing day. See IT Support before the day if you know of any pre-existing issues with your device.
- Bring a pair of (inexpensive) wired/plug-in headphones to use for each test. Wireless headphones have difficulty maintaining their connection in the examination room filled with other operating devices. If they disconnect during the test, it is not possible to reconnect them due to the Locked Down Browser restrictions of the testing environment.
- Bring a pen or pencil. Blank paper is provided for planning and rough working out, but is discarded at the end of the test. Only work that is entered into the online testing platform is considered for marking.
This week students will be participating in a “familiarisation activity”. This will involve testing that the online NAPLAN environment works on their device and giving them a chance to attempt some practice questions in this environment. Please note that this activity is not recorded or marked and is only a rehearsal of the NAPLAN testing process.
Students and parents are encouraged to access the public demonstration site (https://www.nap.edu.au/online-assessment/public-demonstration-site) to familiarise themselves with NAPLAN and the types of questions and on-screen tools available. Excessive preparation for NAPLAN is not required nor recommended, as it is a single point-in-time snapshot of student ability and is not used to determine any reporting results, qualifications or eligibility for future pathways.
