From the Directors of Boarding

What a fantastic start to the year it has been in boarding. We are pleased to report an increase in boarder numbers across all houses compared with last year - a very positive sign for the continued growth and strength of boarding at Great Southern Grammar.
We are delighted to confirm that Mr Kyle Kovacs has stepped into the Recreation Officer role for 2026. We encourage students to connect with Kyle directly - student voice and initiative are highly valued in our program.
Our first weekend together was the annual All‑In Weekend, where all students are encouraged to stay in and participate in activities. The weekend began with ten‑pin bowling at Wild West Bowling, followed by a variety of activities including cycling, fishing, beach trips and more. It was fantastic to see so many students taking part and the smiles all round as boarders settled back into life in boarding.
It has not taken long for everyone to fall back into their usual routines, with plenty of boarders out and about during the week for sport, and cricket now in full swing on the weekends.
We are delighted to welcome Ms Andrea Morgan to GSG as Boarding Administrator. Andrea is an experienced administrator with a background in consulting and human resources. Andrea will work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8.30am to 1.30pm. Please continue to email boarding@gsg.wa.edu.au for all general Boarding enquiries.
We appreciate the high level of communication from families over the past few weeks and thank you for your patience as we have worked to respond promptly.
A few common queries have arisen, and the clarifications below may be helpful. Families are also encouraged to revisit the Parent Information Pages on MyGSG → Boarding → Information.
