Careers Update

Year 12 – Good Luck

The Careers Team would like to wish our Year 12 students sitting their final exams the best of luck. We would also like to remind the entire Year 12 cohort that the Careers Team offers ongoing support beyond 2025, encouraging students to reach out to us should they need to!

Year 9 Morrisby 

Our Year 9 students have been actively preparing for their future careers by completing their Morrisby Profiling, followed by a one-on-one session with a Morrisby-trained Careers Counsellor. Through a mix of interest, personality and aptitude assessments, followed by one-on-one guidance sessions, each student has gained valuable insights into their strengths and potential pathways for Senior School and beyond. Well done to the Year 9 students for engaging thoughtfully and positively throughout the process! This is just the beginning and we’re excited to see where the journey takes you next.

Baw Baw LLEN – Inspiring Young People Dinner

A big thank you to the Baw Baw Latrobe LLEN for hosting the Inspiring Young People event last week, where five of our students proudly represented the college. It was a great evening with presentations from various successful guest speakers who shared their career and life journeys. Evenings such as these are a great opportunity for young people to view positive role models in the community and to empower them, encouraging students to think big with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Federation University Experience Day

Recently, several of our Year 10 students had the opportunity to attend the Federation University Experience Day to ‘experience' a day in the life of a university student! The day began with a warm welcome and introduction, followed by four rotating sessions across different faculty areas - Occupational Therapy, Exercise and Sports Science, Nursing and Science. It was a fantastic chance for students to ask questions, explore different career pathways and get a feel for what university life is really like. Everyone had a great day!
