Principal's Update

Term 4 has commenced positively, with our candidates for the 2026 School Captain positions delivering their speeches to peers during the whole school assembly in Week 2. It was wonderful to see so many students demonstrating confidence, leadership and pride in their school. Congratulations to Layna Hale, Madeline Howlett, Zane Poxon and Aiden Savige on their thoughtful and engaging presentations and being voted as the 2026 Lowanna College School Captains.
Our 2025 Captains — Zoe, Haylee, Alaynna and Daniel — have conducted themselves in an exemplary manner throughout the year. They have represented student voice with maturity and enthusiasm and it has been a joy to witness their growth in both capacity and confidence as leaders. The skills they have developed will serve them well as they complete their secondary education and transition into the next stage of their lives and we wish them every success in their future endeavours.
Term 4 is always an exciting and busy time, particularly for our senior students as they sit their VCAA examinations. While this period can bring heightened pressure, it is also a time of anticipation and celebration as students enjoy their final days of school. I would like to congratulate our Class of 2025 on their maturity during end-of-school festivities, while continuing to demonstrate commitment to their studies and practice exams. We thank them for upholding our college values with pride and respect.
Students have returned this term with enthusiasm and focus, preparing for a range of upcoming programs and experiences, final assessments and our Headstart Program, beginning on Monday 1 December. As the weather continues to warm, it is a timely reminder for students to attend school in correct uniform and to bring a plastic (not glass) water bottle to class to remain hydrated throughout the day.
Finally, I would like to remind all students and families of the importance of regular attendance in supporting continuity of learning. Please contact your child’s Mini School Team as the first point of communication regarding absences.
We look forward to a productive and rewarding Term 4.
