Happy Harmony Week
Every day I am reminded of the richness of community and everything that everyone brings to it. The highlight of my week last week was seeing our Musical Excellence Choir perform ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ at our early Harmony Day assembly.
Earlier that week, I was privileged to see members of the Haka Chin community perform ‘We are the World’ at an event. Musical lyrics are such a great way to remind us all that no matter where we are born, or what we look like, we all have something to contribute to any community that we are a part of.
I am so proud to be a part of the Croydon Hills Primary School community and thank you all for sharing your cultural heritage, food and customs with us all.

NAPLAN
Thanks to Mrs Jennings and the Year 3 and 5 teams for the administration of NAPLAN over the past two weeks. Students conducted themselves extremely well and tried their best. We look forward to learning their results in the coming months.
National Ride2School Day– Tomorrow
We look forward to seeing as many children as possible ride to school tomorrow. Please note that children are not to ride E Scooters to school. Under Victorian Law, children need to be 16 and over to ride them.
Home/School Communication
We value Home/School communication and as a school have many platforms to do this, Compass Posts being our main one, with parents/guardians also being able to email staff directly. As per our Communication Policy, school staff will do their best to respond to general queries as soon as possible and ask that parents/carers allow 2 – 3 working days to provide you with a detailed response.
If you have a concern or question that requires an immediate response, please contact the office on 9725 1206.
Upcoming AEU Industrial Action
The Australian Education Union (AEU) has indicated it intends to take five forms of industrial action from Monday 23 March 2026, including a full-day stop work on Tuesday 24 March 2026.
It is my understanding that a large proportion of our staff will be engaging in the stop work action this coming Tuesday. Formal communication relating to specific classes affected will be disseminated in accordance with set guidelines.
To assist us with planning, I will be sending out a form via Compass to ascertain onsite student numbers. An alternative learning program will be operating on the day.
Our OSHC service will be running as per normal between 6.45am-8.45am and 3.30pm-6.30pm. There will be no OSHC service available between these times.
