Neurodiversity Celebration Week
This week we recognise Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a time to celebrate the many different ways people think, learn and experience the world.
The idea of neurodiversity reminds us that every brain is unique. Just like students have different interests, personalities and talents, they also have different ways of learning, solving problems and understanding the world around them. Some people are neurodivergent, which can include but not limited to conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyslexia and Tourette Syndrome. These differences are a natural and important part of human diversity.
At our school, we are proud of the diversity within our community and the many strengths our students bring with them each day. Every student has their own way of thinking, learning and contributing, and these differences make our school a richer and more inclusive place.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a reminder of the importance of understanding, acceptance and kindness. By recognising and valuing different ways of thinking and learning, we help create a school environment where every student feels supported, respected and able to thrive.
We celebrate all of our students and the unique strengths they bring to our school community.
