Reading Challenge! - It’s that time again, join up for the Premier Reading Challenge at https://www.vic.gov.au/premiers-reading-challenge
It is free to join and this year’s theme is ‘Stories to discover. Stories to tell.’ – It’s all about discovering new books, and a love of reading. The challenge isn’t a competition, everyone is on their own reading adventure.
Laptop Chargers and Headphones - Your libraries now have laptop chargers AND single sets of headphones available for loan. These can be borrowed from any library desk for part of the day (not overnight) and are scanned onto your student or staff library card – just like a book 😊
Lunchtime Libraries – So far in term 2 we have had over 4,000 students visit the GSSC just in lunchtimes! This gives everyone another space to spend time together at GSSC! In just ONE neighbourhood library we have had almost 70 students visit at lunchtime to play games with friends – and that wasn’t even a wet weather day! Remember to eat lunch first then come in at 1:40 to play games, read, or just hang out – also please chat to your friendly librarian, we love to hear what you are all up to.
