Durnam Thurgoon

This week our Environmental Leaders have been busy helping bring our new pollinator garden, Durnam Thurgoon, to life!

With support from Kylie, Environmental Officer from @greatershepp, students planted a range of indigenous flowering plants that will provide an important habitat for local pollinators.

Named in Yorta Yorta language, Durnam Thurgoon reflects the garden's purpose, with Durnam meaning "plants" and Thurgoon meaning "the earth". This exciting project is being led by our Environmental Leaders, with support from the Ngarri Ngarri team, and reflects our commitment to sustainability, cultural learning and caring for Country.

We can't wait to watch the garden grow and flourish!
