Grade 2 Report

Grade 2 students have settled beautifully into Term 4, our final term of Grade 2! 

We have a busy and exciting term ahead, filled with plenty of fun, learning and opportunities to celebrate all that we have achieved throughout the year. 

This term, we are connecting our Geography, Literature and ICT learning through a special focus on ‘Australia and its place on Earth’. In Geography, students have been learning about the seven continents and five oceans of the world and have even learned a very catchy song to help them remember them!

In Literature, we are enjoying the wonderful picture story book Are We There Yet? by Alison Lester, which follows an Australian family as they travel around the country in their caravan. As we explore the story, students will discover Australia's diverse states and territories, as well as some of their unique landmarks, environments and animals. 

In ICT, students have also begun developing their skills in Microsoft PowerPoint. They are researching different Australian states and territories and creating their own PowerPoint presentations to highlight the unique features and special characteristics of each one. It has been a wonderful start to our final term, and we are looking forward to all the learning and adventures still to come!
