Year 7, 2029 - enrolment dates for Catholic Secondary Schools
Applications for students starting Year 7 in 2029 will open Wednesday 27 January 2027 and will close Friday 13 August 2027.
Families are encouraged to apply to at least two secondary schools.
Offers will be posted by Secondary Schools on Friday 15 October 2027 and families will be required to accept an offer by Friday 5 November 2027.
Concessional Fees 2027
Concessional fees for eligible students are subject to an annual review. Families may qualify for concessional school fees if they meet any of the following criteria.
- Of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage
- Hold a Services AUSTRALIA Health Care Card (HCC) and eligible for Camps, Sport and Excursion Fund (CSEF)
- Hold a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold Card
- Identified as refugees holding Department of Home Affairs Proof of Identity card (Immicard)
- Refugees where the child has attended school within Australia for less than five years
- Experiencing genuine financial hardship
Applications for a concessional school fee must be made on the school approved form and emailed to the school every year prior to the commencement of term 1 of the school year.
Intentions for 2027
If your child is not returning next year (apart from Year 6 children) , please inform the principal immediately at: principal@slblackburnsth.catholic.edu.au

Special Requests for 2027
Each year, parents have an opportunity to submit a special request if they feel their child may need to be paired with or separated from another child. This needs to be done formally, in writing to the principal only. These requests remain confidential. If you do have a request, due consideration will be given but all requests cannot begranted if there are othew considerations.
Please ensure you send in your request no later than FRIDAY, 30th OCTOBER to:
