Clare's message........

Hello families,
Welcome to Term Four. We have had a lovely easy start to out term. We had a band of eager Year 4-6 children attend the Division Athletics, representing our school with courage, enthusiasm and a great sense of school spirit and commaderie. Congratulations to all who did their best, had fun and returned to school feeling very content.
On Wednesday afternoon, all staff renewed their full First Aid qualifications. There were two components to achieving the updated qualification- a lengthy e-module and a practical part. I would like to thank all staff for generously taking personal time to complete the required sections to ensure we are all feeling confident we have the current theory and practice to provide proper first-aid care for children and staff, if needed.
Thank-you to all those families who participated in the MACSSIS survey this year. We had approximately the same number as last year. We will look forward to seeing the results and using your feedback to inform some of our Annual Action Plan goals for 2027.
PBL VALUES- make sure you lodge your vote.
The kids have voted and now it's your turn.
Check out the Community Page of this newsletter for deatils.
It's Term 4, the sun is out and the weather is generally quite beautiful this time of year. As requested at the beginning of this week, children will be required to wear their summer uniform starting the beginning of Week 3. The first two weeks are a transition period and children are allowed to wear either winter or summer uniforms, depending on the weather forecast. Regardless of what uniform is being worn, SCHOOL HATS are mandatory. Every child needs his/her hat EVERY day
Year 3-4 CAMP: is happening this term and we are super excited. Dates are Thursday 26th November to Friday 27th November and we are heading to Burnside Camp at Anglesea. Details will follow from Week 3. What an exciting time ahead.
Earlier this week l sent out a communication about St Luke's Feast Day of Joy next Friday 16th October. It is jam packed with fun, joy, celebration and gratitude for the wonderful community of learners we are and reminds us that St Luke guides us in all we do. Children can wear their favourite colour (free dress). At 3pm that afternoon, we will launch the Art Show which families are warmly invited to. Refreshments will be provided afterwards. Please remember to RSVP for catering purposes.
The last thing to mention but by no way the least, is the FETE. Please go to the Fete Page in this newsletter, for the most recent updates, check out the display board in the Student Entry AND if you haven't already, buy your early bird wristbands and/OR VOLUNTEER! Thanks to those who have done so already, to all those volunteers across St Luke's school, parish and St Timothy's parish who have been working really hard behind the scenes. A big shout out to Sonya O'Farrell whose smile never leaves her face as she races around doing the work of many. You are a star, Sonya!
Have a great weekend ahead and l'll see you next week.
