HSC Major Works Showcase: Splinters, Splashes, Sounds, Snaps, Stage & Stories

Last Thursday evening the College was alive with activity as our Year 12 students demonstrated their prowess with tools, brush, instruments and pen at the annual HSC Major Works Showcase. The evening was a wonderful celebration of the creativity, showcasing the dedication and talent of our senior students who have been working hard for over a year on their projects. 

The evening provided an opportunity for students to share the culmination of many months of sustained effort across Industrial Technology, Design and Technology, Visual Arts, Photography, Video and Digital Imaging, Music 1, Music 2, History Extension and English Extension 2. Each of the major works reflected innovative thought, originality, technical skill and thoughtful personal expression.

Families, staff and fellow students were able to view and appreciate the depth of learning or rehearsals involved in each major work, as well as the perseverance required to bring such ambitious projects to completion. Many Year 11 students were also in attendance, witnessing what will be required of them over the course of the HSC.

Congratulations to all students who exhibited their work, and a very special thank you to the class teachers, Leaders of Learning and families who have supported them throughout the HSC journey.
