Year 9 Mysterious Universe Elective - Stargazing Night

Our Year 9 Students stepped into the cosmos during a magical Stargazing incursion as part of the Mysterious Universe Elective. With telescopes pointed skyward and curiosity in full bloom, they explored the moon’s craters, traced constellations, and experienced the awe of a clear, light-pollution-free sky.
One student shared:“It was the very first time I had used a telescope and seen celestial objects through it... I learnt how to identify the Southern Cross Constellation. Overall, the incursion was a lively experience, which allowed me to find beauty in the sky above me while learning about it.”From first glimpses of lunar landscapes to newfound knowledge of the Southern Cross, the night was a beautiful blend of science and wonder.
