New England Garden Festival Competition
Dear Parents,
Mrs. Grills has entered Transition students in the New England Garden Festival's 'SOW A SEED' competition. The Children have planted the seeds, watered and watched as the seedlings sprouted and grew and now it is judging time. The garden festival committee provided the seeds and pots and will exhibit and judge the seedlings this weekend.
You are invited to attend the festival to view the entries on display at the Armidale Racecourse, you can head down to Armidale for the Festival this w the 18/19th November. (see flyer below for all t)
It has been an exciting opportunity to take part of this fabulous community event, and our fingers are crossed that our specimens may bring a prize back to St. Mary of the Angels School.

School Student Broadband Initiative
The Australian Government is providing up to 30,000 unconnected families with school aged children across all states and territories with a free National Broadband Network (NBN) connection for twelve months.
The initiative will provide 50 mega bites per second (Mbps) fixed line services, Fixed Wireless plus and Sky Muster Plus services, depending on where the family lives. The School Student Broadband Initiative is an affordability measure to narrow the digital divide and boost education opportunities for students without access to home internet.
To be eligible, a family must:
- Have a child living at home and enrolled in an Australian school in 2023
- Have no active NBN service
If you meet the guidelines, and wish to nominate for this service, please contact Barnaby Joyce's office on 6761 3080.
