P&F Update
PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Dear Holy Spirit Community School,
I hope you are all going well. We hope all the staff enjoyed the special morning tea to celebrate our 50th birthday. Thank you so much to our generous and thoughtful community for all the donations of morning tea. I had 25 plates of food dropped off to the staff room so thank you again. I hear that the staff absolutely loved it! Thank you so much to Laura and Derek and Melbourne Cake Studio for donating and providing the staff with a beautiful cake for the staff to cut after mass and enjoy. It was an absolutely stunning cake!!
We hope all the students enjoyed their cupcake treat to celebrate our 50th birthday which was a gift from the P & F. It was such a lovely day celebrating Spirit Day and 50 years of our school!
At the end of 2026 our lovely Treasurer Andrew and lovely Vice President Lincoln are stepping down. This means that come 2027 we will need a new Treasurer and Vice President to join our team. These two roles are highly important and valued in the successful running of the P and F Committee and help make up the Executive Committee. We would love these two positions filled by the end of the year. In the next few weeks, I’ll provide more information about what is involved in taking on these two positions! Watch this space!!

We are also on the lookout for General Members to join us. You can even come to one of our monthly meetings and see all the work we do behind the scenes and how we run the P and F. We always welcome new faces and new ideas. If you have a passion and interest to help our school community and be involved in the fundraising/social side of the school I would love to hear from you!!

TRIVIA NIGHT 2026 – TABLES ALMOST SOLD OUT!
One of the best parent social nights on the school calendar is nearly here. We only have a few tables remaining, so now is the time to lock in your group before we sell out!

Mystery Jar Day is just around the corner and we’re bringing the fun again with another classroom competition to boost donations.

Calculated by number of jars per classroom number… so start collecting those jars!
Fill your jar with new, kid-friendly goodies – toys, stationery, wrapped lollies and chocolates, craft items, etc.
- No nuts and please make sure all treats are sealed in their original wrappers.

SUBWAY LUNCH THANK YOU!
We hope all the students enjoyed their special lunches from Subway. I want to thank Nora (Food Day Coordinator) for planning and organising all the subway lunches for the day to ensure it all ran smoothly. Thank you to Andrew for doing all the Try Booking work behind the scenes. Thank you also to those six parents who came on the day and helped us distribute the lunches to each classroom. Thank you again. We couldn’t run these days without our wonderful parent volunteers. Thank you so much!!
UNIFORM SHOP
If families have any Winter Uniform donations (tunic dresses, long sleeve polo tops, pants etc) we would be happy to accept them for our uniform shop!!
BOOK CLUB
*Scholastic Book Club*
Thank you to all our families for your ongoing support of Book Club, and for helping nurture a love of reading at home! It’s been wonderful to see how excited the children get when their Book Club orders are delivered to their classrooms.
This is a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading while supporting our school. Keep an eye out because Issue 4 will be distributed to classrooms shortly.
Orders close: Thursday June 11, 12pm (midday).
Please place your orders online via the Scholastic LOOP platform by this date.
Books will be delivered to the school and distributed to classrooms once they arrive.
Every purchase helps our school earn valuable rewards to purchase new books and resources for our library and classrooms.
