The Ringwood District Cross Country saw 60 Holy Spirit students from Years 3–6 proudly represent their school in a day marked by outstanding effort, resilience and sportsmanship.
Across all year levels, students demonstrated an excellent mindset towards their races, showing determination from the start line through to the finish. Their attitude and behaviour throughout the event were commendable, with students consistently supporting one another and showing respect to competitors from other schools.
A highlight of the day was the strong sense of team spirit. Students encouraged their friends along the course, celebrated achievements together and showed genuine care for both teammates and students from other schools. This positive culture of support was evident in every race.
A huge shout out goes to our 12-year-old boys who finished in top place in their age group, achieving outstanding results through incredible effort, strong pacing and high-place finishes throughout their race.
Congratulations to all students who competed on the day and best of luck to those who have qualified for Division level competition:
Grade 6: Ollie C 🥇, Antonio DG 🥉, Rylan S & Mae M
Grade 5: Ava B
Grade 4: Jack M & Abby D
They will now go on to represent Holy Spirit at next week’s Maroondah Division event at Yarra Glen Racecourse, where they will continue to showcase their hard work and school pride.
