National Simultaneous Storytime

The selected book for NSS 2026 is Luna Roo: The Kangaroo

On Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 12:00 pm AEST, our students will join millions of Australians in celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) by reading the same book at the exact same time.

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual event that promotes the importance of reading and literacy in libraries, classrooms, and communities across Australia.

This year’s featured book is Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake A. Minton. The story follows Rookie captain Luna Roo as she overcomes her nerves and faces a spider goalkeeper while leading FC Outback in a thrilling and energetic underdog adventure.
