This week, students in Grades 3–6 were lucky enough to take part in an exciting science incursion presented by a scientist from VSSEC. Students explored “The Size of Our Sol” and ‘Surviving is Tough’  to discover just how enormous our solar system really is. They also investigated what it takes for living things to survive on our planet.

Students had an amazing time learning about the planets, travelling back in time through scientific discoveries, and participating in hands-on investigations and demonstrations. It was a fantastic opportunity to spark curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of science in a fun and engaging way! Each student came with a great attitude and we look forward to seeing our scientists use this knowledge.
