Mother’s Day Thanks
A very big thank you to Lih for organising another wonderful Mother’s Day Stall and evening out for the Parkhill Mums. Students were very excited to select a special gift from a wide range of treats at the Mother’s Day Stall and were expertly assisted by a large group of generous parent and community volunteers - thanks team! We hope all the mums enjoyed receiving their specially selected gift on Sunday.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, many Parkhill Mums enjoyed an evening out together with a lovely meal at New Northcote Brewhouse and a good dose of fashion in the movie, The Devil Wears Prada 2. Many thanks to Lih for arranging a lovely evening for the mums to relax, connect and enjoy each other’s company.

This exciting theatre in education program provides practical strategies for bullying prevention, online safety, social skills and emotion regulation.
The performance follows the story of Leo and Serena, who are struggling to get along with their peers. Serena is teasing and bullying other students at school and online. Leo is thoughtful and sensitive but has trouble managing his feelings and standing up for himself.
When Leo and Serena enter Protector School, they discover that empathy, assertiveness and resilience are their superpowers.
Developed by educators and a clinical psychologist, The Protectors is a creative and entertaining addition to your wellbeing program. Students will be inspired and empowered to stand up to bullying, seek help and protect themselves and others at school and online.
The curriculum-linked lesson plans will facilitate further conversations and learning in the classroom and support our school’s wellbeing, cyber safety and bullying prevention strategies.

VSSS Rehearsals Continue
Our Mass Dance Team continues to work hard in our weekly dance rehearsals and were excited to receive the first colourful part of their costume at our recent hub rehearsal.
Students are looking forward to rehearsing with the specialist choreographers and students from other schools at our next hub rehearsal at Oakleigh South PS on Thursday 28 May.
