Mordialloc District Cross Country

The Mordialloc District Cross Country Carnival was held today in brilliant autumn weather, a welcome contrast to the torrential rain we experienced last week! Conditions were perfect for running, and it was fantastic to see so many students enjoying the day and giving their best effort out on the course.

One of the highlights of the carnival was the outstanding school spirit shown by all students. It was wonderful to hear runners being cheered on by their teammates and classmates throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of all students who represented our school and congratulate every runner on their effort, determination and perseverance.

A special congratulations to the students who have qualified to progress to the Kingston Division Cross Country Carnival, which will be held on May 27 at Cornish College.

Joaquin O - 1st in the 11 year old multi class

Jacob M - 3rd in the 11 year old boys

Xavier S - 5th in the 11 year old boys

We wish them all the very best as they continue their cross country journey and represent our school at the next level.

Winter Interschool Sport

Winter interschool sport is now well underway, and it has been fantastic to see students representing the school with enthusiasm and teamwork. Many students have been adapting to rules and formats that may differ from how they play the sport in their weekend club competitions, providing plenty of valuable learning experiences along the way. It has also been wonderful to see so many students stepping outside their comfort zones to try new sports and give their best effort each week.

A reminder for families to ensure students bring all relevant equipment to games each week. Mouth guards are compulsory for AFL and strongly recommended for soccer. Boots are permitted for both AFL and soccer. Shin guards are compulsory for soccer, however the school will provide shin guards for students who do not have their own. Please check nForma for fixture details.

Run Club

On Fridays, all grade 3-6 students are invited to join the Run Club. We meet at Walter Galt Reserve 8:15 AM, and students will be escorted to school once finished. Its been wonderful to see so many students get involved.

Please let Dominique Monotti know if your child is interested, even if they may not be able to attend every week. We’d also love for parents to be involved.
