Dear St FX Parents and Carers,

Whitehaven Community Grant

We are delighted to announce that our primary school has been granted funding from Whitehaven Coal. This generous grant will be instrumental in supporting our educational initiatives and providing enhanced resources for our music students. Ms Rosemary Smith is currently making plans to take the school band on tour! More on this as dates and venues are secured.

P & F Update

Please continue to support our Parents & Friends Association as they endeavor to provide community events for our families. Any help is appreciated and goes a long way to making the events a success. Please keep an eye out as the P & F will be seeking volunteers for these upcoming events - Family Movie Night, Colour Run and Trivia Night. 

Father’s Day Breakfast

To celebrate Father's Day, our school will be hosting a special breakfast and gift stall. Dads, grandads, and father figures are invited to join us for a delicious breakfast, creating a memorable morning together. Throughout the morning, students will have the opportunity to visit the P & F gift stall, where they can choose a special present to show their appreciation. This event is a wonderful way for our school community to celebrate the important role fathers play in our lives.

Uniform Policy

Following our recent communication regarding our Uniform policy, we have seen improvements in the way students are wearing their uniform. Thank you for following up with these conversations at home. Now that the weather is warming up, students are now asked to wear their summer uniform.

2025 Dance Extravaganza

Please save the date for our Dance Extravaganza  - Thursday 18th September! The Crossing Theatre doors will open at 6:30pm for a 7.00pm start. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Transition for Kindergarten 2026

This week we will welcome over 50 pre school students who are attending our transition to Kindergarten program. It’s an exciting and nervous time for parents and students, however Mrs Leitch, Mrs Capp and Mrs Nott are so excited to see all the new faces and welcome everyone to St Francis Xavier’s.
