2026 Semester 1 Sustainability and Environment.
Congratulations!
Our recycling and composting are still making a difference to our waste disposal costs by reducing our landfill.
This year we have met our targets for Greenwaste Recycling through our classroom and eating area bins.
CHPS is registered with the CDS and we are recycling 98% of the drink containers sold at the canteen, returning $445.90 to the sustainability budget this financial year.
--------------
According to our waste survey, there is still difficulty among students knowing what can be recycled. Next term we will run a competition to design new stickers and posters for our bins, to make it easier to sort what goes where.
