2026 Student Attitudes to School Survey (AToSS)

DET has mandated that all schools must participate in annual student, parent and staff opinion surveys to generate data for School Performance, as follows:
The Students Attitudes to School Survey (AToSS):
- is conducted annually in Term 2
- for all students in Years 4 to 12 are invited to participate.
- has differentiated versions of the survey provided for year level groups and for students with cognitive impairment
- schools facilitate collection with students during school time
- Comprises of 21 questions in full
- The assessment window is from Friday 22nd May - Friday 12th June
The AToSS Timeline is as follows:
