Safety at Crossings and Carparks
We would like to remind all families that our front carpark is for staff only use. In the last few months, we have had multiple near misses with children in the carpark walking to cars, staff and families driving through at pick up and drop off. This is a highly unsafe space for children, and we have asked families to use the on street parking as a result. We recognise that this has been restricted recently with roadworks, but full parking has now been restored on Ridley Grove. We are also in discussion with Council about how we can make pick up and drop off safer for the community, as well as discussing the "Standing only" parking currently in place, which makes it harder for families with young children to come on site to collect.
In the meantime, we ask that families are respectful of the no parking spaces, including the front carpark, and continue to respect the 25km/h speed limits. All three roads around our school have designated safe crossings, and we would encourage everyone to use these after school, rather than crossing at any other point.
Thank you for helping us keep our children safe.
