Home Reading Awards
Last week at our P-2 assembly we acknowledged students in those year levels who have successfully completed 50, 100,150 or 200 nights of home reading.
These students have also demonstrated a great deal of commitment and organisational skills by recording all books that they have read and submitting those details on time each week as part of the homework expectations. A huge congratulations to the following students:

Planning Week Reminder
This week, students will enjoy a full day of specialist subjects on their year level’s planning day. Please remember to send along their runners for PE.

**Swimming: If your child is scheduled to attend swimming on their planning day, they will still attend swimming as usual. They will be accompanied by a specialist teacher rather than their classroom teacher.
Swimming
This week we have 2KG, all Year 3 and all Year 4 classes taking part in swimming.
Next term in week 4 (Oct 26-30) we have 2AA, 2CV, Prep classes and Year 1 classes participating in swimming. If you have a child in one of those classes, please ensure that you complete consent and payment on Compass prior to your child’s swimming week and if you have any questions, please contact the office.
Many classes require parent helpers to assist, so if that is something that you are available to help out with, please contact your child’s classroom teacher for further details on how you can get involved.
All volunteers require a current Working with Children Check on record with our office and are required to complete a Child Safe Code of Conduct form.

Celebration of Learning
We’re looking forward to welcoming families to our Celebration of Learning on Wednesday September 16th (5-7pm).This is a very popular event on our school calendar and a wonderful opportunity to visit the school and see what your child has been learning and working on.
Throughout the evening, classrooms and specialist learning spaces will be open, with students taking the lead in showing their families around and proudly sharing their learning.
Tracey and the canteen team will also have the BBQ fired up, with a range of snacks and drinks available to purchase.
We hope you can join us for this relaxed and enjoyable evening celebrating the learning and achievements of our students!
