Scotsburn Fathers’ Day Breakfast

Thank you everyone for attending our very special Scotsburn Fathers’ Day Breakfast. It was such a nice morning, with our students taking charge and serving their dads and special people in their lives some breakfast and a warm drink. The bacon and egg rolls were a hit!

This breakfast for our dads and father figures has become quite the tradition at Scotsburn, and it is sure to be an event that we will continue into the future. We hope all the fathers and special people in our students’ lives had a great day on Sunday and we want you to know you are so very much appreciated.

Scotsburn Assembly - This Friday

We will hold our final Scotsburn assembly for the term this Friday. Due to the shed works, we will need to hold it in the SC2 classroom. If the weather is nice, we will head out to the concrete and hold it outside. See everyone at 3pm!

Celebration of Learning - Wednesday September 16

Next Wednesday, September 16th (5-7pm) we have our Celebration of Learning.

The Celebration of Learning is always a very popular event on our school’s calendar and is a wonderful opportunity for you to come along and get an insight into what your child/ren are learning at school.

All classroom spaces as well as specialist areas will be open for students to lead their families through to share their learning. We will be running a BBQ on the concrete throughout the night. Sausages will be available for $3.50.

We hope to see everyone there!

Scotsburn Swimming Week

Last week we completed our swimming program at Federation University. It was wonderful to see every student participate in lessons throughout the week and develop their water skills and safety. Thank you to the Federation University instructors for the wonderful lessons.

Good Luck Lawson

Good luck to Lawson who is representing Buninyong Primary School at the Division Athletics. Lawson is participating in the 4 x 100m relay. Run like the wind Lawson!

EBT Training

We are lucky enough to now have an EBT bike up at Scotsburn to practise with. This will be awesome for Lincoln and Darragh to have some extra training in, as we head towards the big Energy Breakthrough event in Term 4.

Footy Colours Day and Sausage Sizzle

Don’t forget that next week we will finish off Term 3 with a Footy Colours Day. This is always good fun. Students are invited to come along in the sporting colours of their choice (any code of sport).

Students are also invited to bring along some coins, with the money going to Mphatso, a village in Africa that our school has supported for a number of years.

Next Friday is also sausage sizzle day (order on QKR), and a whole school assembly. As usual, we will start the day at Buninyong and finish back at Scotsburn, for an earlier 2:30pm finish.

Ramp Upgrades

Ramp work has begun! At Scotsburn, the ramps to be attended to are:

· The ramp at the entrance to the old building at Scotsburn. There will still be access to this building via the back door.

· The ramp leading to the entrance of the multi-purpose room at Scotsburn. There will still be access to this building via the storeroom.

It is expected the total project will run through until mid-December. There will be some disruption along the way, but we should be able to work around it. Once completed, the works will create a safer environment for everyone, but especially those with a disability or mobility issues.

Parent/Carer Opinion Survey

A reminder about our parent opinion survey. We would absolutely love as many of our Scotsburn families to respond to this survey, so that we can continue to celebrate all the things that we are doing well, as well as respond to any feedback where we can make improvements across the school.

All families have until Friday September 18 to complete the survey, with the link and details of how to complete on your Compass newsfeed.

Surveys are conducted online, only take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

2027 Scotsburn Enrolments

Scotsburn Intercampus Travel

At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day.

We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements.
