Father’s Day

We hope all dads in the school community had a lovely day on Sunday.  It was really nice seeing the kids get excited at school in the lead up as they purchased something for dad from the stall or enjoyed time with dad or grandad at the Father’s Day Breakfast.

The Scotsburn crew have had a Father’s Day Breakfast gathering for a number of years, which has always been well received.  We’re pleased to have managed our second Father’s Day Breakfast at Buninyong campus dads, a tradition that will now continue.  We had lots of dads and kids come along and there was a great atmosphere throughout….and luckily the showers held off.  

A big thank you to Tracey Coats and her team of helpers who did an amazing job preparing and serving the food. 

 Footy Colours Day

Don’t forget that next week we will finish off term 3 with a Footy Colours Day.  This is always good fun.  Students are invited to come along in the sporting colours of their choice (any code of sport). 

Students are also invited to bring along some coins, with the money going to Mpatso, a village in Africa that our school has supported for a number of years.  

And of course, the day wouldn’t be the same without a sausage sizzle and staff Vs Grade 6 students sporting contest of some sort.  

Ramp Replacements

The team of contractors undertaking these works are motoring along.  The ramp on the north-west corner of the gym has been removed, as have the ones outside the music room and the multi-purpose room at Scotsburn.  

Today the team started work on removing the ramp to the old building at Scotsburn. Next week the ramps on the east side of the quad will be removed, so 3GR & 3ZW have been relocated into the meeting and breakfast rooms for the time being.  

By the end of next week, we expect to see at least a few of the ramps re-built.

Over the holiday break, the work will focus on the ramp at the front entrance of the Buninyong Campus.  Given the busy nature of this part of the school, it will be good to get this work done during a school break.

So, it’s all happening at the moment.  If the pace of work continues, the total project ought to be delivered on time, with a completion target of mid-December.

Parent Surveys

Thanks to those that have already completed this survey.  For those that haven’t, the closing date is September 18. We’d like to get lots of survey responses, so please consider taking 20 minutes to help us out with this.

2027 Prep Enrolments

A reminder if you have a child to enrol in prep for 2027, please access an enrolment form from the website or from the office, fill it out and send it in ASAP.  Once your child is enrolled, you’ll be on the mail out list for transition updates, which includes information about our Preschooler Program and Orientation Day. 

Please pass this message on to anyone else who may be in the same situation and feel free to give us a call if you have any questions.
