Ramadan and Eid
by Adam and Aisya Mohd Sabri, and family
What is Ramadan and what does it mean to you?
Ramadan is a special month for Muslims. It is a time when we try to be better people, be kind, and think about others. We also learn to be patient and thankful for what we have.
What do you do during Ramadan? Do you have a favourite part of this period of time?
During Ramadan, we fast during the day., which means we don't eat or drink from morning until sunset. We also pray more and spend time with family. Our favourite part is breaking the fast together in the evening because it feels happy and special.
How do you celebrate?
We celbrate by wearing nice clothes, going to prayers, visiting family and friends, and eating delicious food together.
What is your favourte part of the Eid celebrations?
Our favourite part is meeting family, getting treats, and sometimes receiving small gifts or money. It is also fun to eat our traditional food such as rendang, ketupat and logts of yummy food!
Who do you clebrate Ramadan and Eid with?
We celebrate with our family, relatives and friends.
