Junior Sports Day

Our junior sports day is on the new date of Friday 6 September. We are really excited for our junior students to have the chance to come out and have a go at the races and challenges. We look forward to welcoming our parents and carers on the day.

Well done also to Julian who did an amazing job finishing 2nd at the National Hockey Titles representing QLD.

Palm Beach Classic Surf Competition

Good luck to our year 6 students who will be competing at the inaugural Palm Beach Classic Surf Competition. This event is hosted by Palm Beach SS with students from Palm Beach SS, Burleigh SS, Coolangatta SS and Currumbin SS. All year 6 students had the chance to nominate for this event and our students competing were invited earlier in the year.

Friday Afternoon Recreational Sport Year 5 - 6

Next term we will be introducing our recreational sport program for our year 5 and 6 students. We are very excited to offer this program to our students and provide them with an opportunity to access sports and facilities in our local area. Next term students, with the help of their parents and carers will nominate for the sport or activity they would like to do for their Friday sport. Some programs will have a cost attached to it to cover transport and coaches for the program. Programs will have capped numbers to ensure that student safety and supervision ratios are met. More information will be going to parents and carers in the coming weeks.

The sports on offer will be -

  • Surfing - Currumbin Alley run by Surfing Services Australia
  • Mountain Biking - Eddie Kornhauser park run by GCCC
  • Pickle Ball - Reboundland
  • Tenpin Bowling - Tallebudgera SS bowling mats provided.
