Our Year 2 students are writing narratives! Here is an exciting story from a student from 2 Yellow!

Our Year 5’s are practising their problem solving skills! They have been using the Strive for 5 Problem Solving Process to help them organise and reflect on their thinking!

Australian Maths Competition 

Over the last 13 weeks a committed group of mathematicians from Years 5 and 6 have been arriving at school at 7:45 to complete an extra hour of mathematics in preparation for the Australian Maths Competition which was held on Tuesday the 6th of August. This competition which was first run in 1978, is Australia’s longest running, largest and most well-known maths competition for school students.  The competition contained 30 unique problems designed to challenge and extend the students’ problem-solving skills.   Mrs Katrina Quirke, who worked alongside these students, would like to congratulate each and every one of them for their persistence and commitment they have demonstrated.  Well done!
