Year 7's 

Our Year 7 students have begun their high school journey! Starting high school is a big milestone, and our students have shown great enthusiasm, curiosity, and resilience as they settle into new routines. Next week they'll head off to Boort on Orientation Camp.

Year 7 Camp

Starting on Wednesday night Year 7 students will commence their camp at Boort. Please see Compass for the equipment list and to give approval for camp. The itinerary for the camp is below

Wednesday 11th Feb 

3:30pm: Depart Charlton College (School bus, Ute & trailer) 

4:00pm: Arrive Boort Lakes Caravan Park 

4:00pm – 4:30pm: Set up tents and camp 

4:30pm – 5:30pm: Group activities 

5:45pm – 7:30pm: Dinner (Pizza making at Boort District School) 

7:30pm – 8:30pm: Free time at Caravan Park. 

9:00pm: Preparation for bed 

9:30pm: Bed 

Thursday 12th Feb 

7:30am: Morning Exercise 

8.30am: Breakfast 

9:00am – 10:15am: Team building 

10:15am: Morning Tea 

10:30am - 12:30pm: Spanner Man 

12:30pm: Lunch 

1:00pm - 3:30pm: Activities at the Boort Lake 

3:30pm: Afternoon Snack 

3:30-4:30pm: Canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding 

6:00pm: Dinner (Build your own burger) 

7:00pm – 8:30pm: Group walk around lake 

9:00pm: Preparation for bed 

9:30pm: Sleep 

Friday 13th February 

8.00am: Breakfast, pack-up tents, camp and make lunch 

9:30am: Yung Balug Aboriginal Artefacts Museum 

10.30am: Morning Tea 

11.00am – 12.00pm: Lawn Bowls 

12:00pm: Lunch 

1:00pm: Croquet 

2:15pm: Depart Boort to return to Charlton College (School Bus & Ute) 

2.45pm: Arrive at Charlton College and unpack 

3.15pm - Students depart once unpacked

Year 9 Technology Program

Year 9 students commenced their program in the NCTTC. They are undertaking a range of subjects with students from Donald and have chosen a combination of either woodwork, metals, agriculture, visual communication and textiles.
