Years F-6

2026 has begun really well in the F-6 area of the school, and I am very excited to be back in this area. We welcome four new Foundation students, Harry, Zander, Harlow and Scarlet. These four students are settling in well thanks to classroom teacher Lizzie and year 6 buddies, Alodia and Cody. Our returning students had a great holiday, (thanks parents), and are getting back into the routine of the classroom and learning. The Year 1-2 group is a very quiet group who are extremely keen to learn from Miss Donaldson. Years 3 and 4 are full of personality, a fun group for Miss Rees, and the Year 5-6 classroom is a very calm space with Miss Godkin-Briggs having her very first classroom.

As always, the first term will be busy with Badge Conferral, the swimming sports, a Chinese Cultural day, School Photos, NAPLAN and Tennis Hot Shots.

Foundation Attendance

Just a reminder that the Foundation students do not have to attend school on Wednesdays for the month of February. Therefore the 11th, 18th, and 25th of February are no school days. In the past we have found this to be very beneficial for our young students starting off their first year of school as it allows them time to gradually become integrated into our busy school program. Foundation students will commence their first full school week commencing Monday 2nd March 2026.

Advisory Teachers

Staff are readily available to discuss questions or concerns that may arise throughout the year. Contact can be made through Communication Books (F-2) or Student Diaries (3-6), in person or through phone contact.

F-6 Assemblies

Assemblies will be held every Monday morning at 9am, beginning on the 16th of February, just outside the Primary building. Parents are very welcome and encouraged to attend to celebrate achievements and happenings.

School Supplies

It is important students commence the year with the requirements listed on the booklist sent home last year. Please chase up anything outstanding as soon as possible and contact me if you have had problems getting what is needed.

Canteen

The canteen is open for recess and lunch every day. Lunches can be ordered online through the Compass App.
