ANZAC Day & Grandparents Day Celebration

Our school community will soon come together to commemorate ANZAC Day alongside our special Grandparents Day celebration. This meaningful occasion will provide students with an opportunity to honour the stories, service, and sacrifices of those who have contributed to our nation, while also recognising the important role grandparents and older generations play in our lives.

It will be a wonderful moment to reflect on the rich history and enduring spirit of the Whittlesea community, as students listen, learn, and connect across generations. We look forward to welcoming our families and guests to this respectful and memorable celebration.

Kangaroo - Who?

We are very excited to announce the names of the newest members of the Whittlesea Primary School community, our Kangaroo and her Joey!

After many fantastic entries in our naming competition, two lucky winners were selected. “Milo” was chosen as the perfect name for the Joey, entered by Laura, whilst “Mango” was selected as the name for the mother Kangaroo, entered by Stacy H.

Milo and Mango are now happily looking over our beautiful Indigenous Garden. Here, they enjoy watching our students learn and play. Congratulations to our winners, and well done to everyone who took part in the competition. We would also like to give a special thank you to our Student Voice Team (SVT), who had the very difficult task of narrowing down all of the unique suggestions and choosing these 'forever' names.  We hope to have some signage to officially promote the names very soon. Welcome to MANGO & MILO.
